SUMMERS PAST: 2009

We still haven't had the bowling figures for the 2009 Nielsen UK game so lets take a look at some of the batting averages for that season.

It's worth bearing in mind that we played only three games in 2009: London Badgers, Heinemann CC and Nielsen UK. We won 2 and lost the last one against Nielsen UK.

Batting averages are only registered for players with two innings or more to their name:

Dave ' Herby' Williams averaged 75
Herby played in two games, hitting 19 and 56 not out

John Grain averaged 54
John played two games, hitting 29 not out and 25

Chris Grain averaged 23
Chris played in all three games hitting 24, 10 and 35

So how did the Tigers do overall in 2009?

Well, we hit 409 runs from 80 overs and lost 17 wickets in total.

That means we hit 5.11 runs an over and lost a wicket every 24.05 runs.

Not bad, eh?

We've not forgotten you bowlers. As soon as I get the Nielsen UK scorebook, I'll get your stats up on the blogsite.
