Robbie Nicholson ripped the Hailey batting apart with 7-1-11-4
After last night's report of Steve 'Alan' Brackley being named 'Richard for a Day' (or Dick of the Day as it's known informally at Charlton Kings CC), we turn our attention to young Tiger Robbie Nicholson tonight.
Robbie spent last Saturday afternoon playing for his club side Combe CC in a Telegraph Cup match against local rivals Hailey CC. The prize? A place in the Quarter Finals.
It was a day when the bowlers dominated with Combe bowling Hailey out for a Tigers-like 51. Our Robbie got his claws right into the Hailey batting and tore it apart with a fantastic 7-1-11-4.
The rest should have been easy but it seems the Hailey bowlers had something to say on the matter as Combe lost six wickets before finally drifting past the modest Hailey total. Our Robbie scored 14 of them.
