Tonight's Summers Past feature focuses on the SpecialEffect Tigers CC first game of the 2010 season.
After a hasty change of venue, the Tigers faced last season's vanquished opponents The London Badgers CC. The Badgers were smarting after the 2009 season mauling by the Tigers and were out for revenge.
They served it to the Tigers cold ...
Great knocks for the London Badgers by N.Hayes (48) and S.Voysey (25*) after J.Voysey (4-0-28-3) and Wilkey (3-0-23-2) had ripped through the Tigers' batting.
Highlights for the Tigers included a decent half century by Ash Kolamkar (51*), one of our mates from Audley Ducks CC, and James Harrison (24).
Charlie Read, another Duck turned Tiger, tried to take on the Badgers batting single handed with a devastating spell of spin (6-0-27-4) that had the opposition reeling for a while.
A brave attempt by the Tigers but the Badgers were just too strong for us on the day.
